Also known as Indian Pennywort, Brahmi, Gotu Kola is an herbaceous perennial plant belonging to the family of Apiaceae. The stem of Gotu Kola is slender, creeping, green to reddish-green in color. It contains triterpenoid, mainly asiaticoside and brahmoside. It is used both for culinary and medicinal purposes. Traditionally, it has been used to treat various health disorders.
